“We are honored to be able to serve Lansing families through this special event. Our goal is to help ready families for the birth of a child and build support across the community. We hope that the support from this baby shower will inspire the families to stay involved and support each other,” stated Jasmine Fountain, RLM Multicultural Outreach Support Staff. “Each and every participant, volunteer, and donor are motivated by the desire to come alongside the families represented and further empower them to care for each other.”

RLM and Faith Fellowship are collaborating with local churches of different denominations, and support organizations such as employment agencies, pregnancy centers, a hospital mother/baby center, a college access network, resume writing services, Head Start and more. Several local restaurants, hair salons, bookstores, and a photographer have donated gift cards and baskets. All involved hope to provide for anyone facing an unexpected pregnancy, support those questioning if they can parent, offer encouragement and support and assist those in need of baby items.

“God is the creator of life, and He has given believers the responsibility to support life. This Capital City Baby Shower is one way we can show our support for life. I encourage all believers to step forward and show the Love of Christ,” added Pastor Stan Parker, Faith Fellowship Baptist Church.
