Michigan Pregnancy Resource Center Attacked

Grand Rapids, MI — The Lennon Pregnancy Resource Center in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, was vandalized on Sunday, June 19.

This attack adds to the long list of centers that have been vandalized or even bombed since the U.S. Supreme Court Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization draft opinion was leaked on May 3. The leak revealed that the U.S. Supreme Court plans to overturn Roe v. Wade which would allow each state to decide its own abortion laws.

The following statement is attributed to Right to Life of Michigan President Barbara Listing:

Unfortunately, this attack is not surprising but still certainly shocking. The violence and barbarity that pro-abortion groups have succumbed to must stop. These attacks need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

It is critical that Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and the Reproductive Freedom for All coalition condemn this violence and ask their friends to not destroy resources for women. These organizations claim to be “pro-choice” but fail to support mothers when they make the choice to continue their pregnancies.

Pro-abortion activists often argue that prolifers don’t support women or children after birth, while also destroying these centers that do all of that and more on a daily basis. Prolife centers like Lennon Pregnancy Center offer women materials, counseling, free ultrasounds, and pregnancy options that empower women and families to raise their children or choose adoption.

Prolifers will continue to fight for life and the violence will not deter us. We are resilient and will work through any adversity that comes our way.
