In November of 2022, 57% of Michigan citizens voted to pass a ballot initiative that enshrined a right to abortion in the Michigan constitution. Under the guise of “Restore Roe,” language was added to the state constitution that threatens to have an adverse impact on areas of Michigan law that protected women, parents, physicians, children, and the constitutional authority of state legislators for decades.
