Right to Life of Michigan youth programs

High School Oratory Contest

Right to Life of Michigan Educational Fund's annual high school oratory contest is open to all prolife high school students in Michigan. Contestants give a 5-7 minute speech on one of several prolife topics. Local contests are sponsored by affiliates across the state in the spring, followed by a state contest for local winners. MORE

Outstanding Prolife Youth Award

Right to Life of Michigan Educational Fund will award a scholarship in May to one outstanding prolife high school senior in Michigan. Selection criteria include an essay and past participation in prolife activities. MORE

Youth Infographic Contest

Right to Life of Michigan Educational Fund is hosting a Youth Infographic Contest for high school and college-aged Michigan youth. Prolife young people from Michigan ages 13 to 22 can create and submit an original infographic, and contest finalists will have their works shared on Right to Life of Michigan's Facebook page in the summer and judged by a public vote to determine the winners. National Right to Life Academy

National Right to Life's Academy is a summer program for student leaders who want to refine their prolife passion.The five-week course is held at National Right to Life headquarters in Washington, D.C. Topics covered include abortion, euthanasia, stem cell research, healthcare, legislative strategy, history of the prolife movement, medical ethics, prenatal development and lobbying. MORE

National Right to Life Essay Contest
Students in grades 7-12 can enter National Right to Life's annual Essay Contest. Submit a 300 to 500 word essay that answers the question “Why are you prolife?" Use this contest as a way to articulate your passions and share your prolife beliefs! Essays need to be submitted between December 18, 2016 and January 21, 2017. MORE

National Right to Life Video Contest
You can use your voice to give a voice to the voiceless! Submit a video that is between 30 seconds and 3 minutes long and you could win a free registration to the National Right to Life Convention in Milwaukee, WI on June 29-July 1, 2017. This is a great way to share your prolife beliefs! The deadline to enter is June 16, 2017, contestants must be between 15 and 25 years old. MORE

Student Statesmanship Institute
Every summer in Michigan, Student Statesmanship Institute hosts their one week Summer Program in Lansing. Students can participate in a mock legislature, business, judicial, media, or campaign track. There are three sessions offered, two in June and one in July. The Summer Program is open for students entering their first year of high school to students entering their first year of college. MORE

University Faculty for Life Scholarly Achievement Award
Prolife Students aspiring for upper education can submit a creative writing, literary criticism or research writing sample to the University Faculty for Life to be considered for their annual award. Winners will have an opportunity to read their work at the UFL’s conference June 9 – 10 in St Paul Minnesota. This contest is open to any students enrolled in higher education including; community college, undergraduate, graduate and seminary programs.
