Description
The first law (M.C.L. 380.1507) prohibits school employees from teaching abortion as a method of “family planning” or dispensing any family planning drug or device. The second law (M.C.L. 388.1766) provides a penalty of 5% of a school district’s total state aid if an official, school board member or other person in the district, makes an abortion referral or dispenses a family planning drug or device in violation of section 1507.
