“These grants reflect our ongoing commitment to standing shoulder-to-shoulder with women facing unexpected pregnancies, to help offer hope and a path forward,” said Amber Roseboom, President, Right to Life of Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Today and tomorrow (September 4 – 5, 2025) Right to Life of Michigan (RLM) will distribute grants totaling $12,500 to nine pregnancy resource centers in and around Detroit as part of our eighth annual Pregnancy Resource Center Fall Grant tour. These grants will be used for various resources, including upgraded medical equipment and enhancements to the ICU Birth Choice mobile unit. More broadly, the funds will help provide emergency housing assistance, transportation, diapers, formula, car seats, pack ‘n plays and more to women and families.

Centers that will receive a grant this year include:

  • Care Net Pregnancy Center Berkley/Detroit – Berkley and Detroit
  • Birth Choice Services – Detroit
  • Mother and Unborn Baby Care – Southfield

Ken Gabriel, President, Board of Directors at ICU Birth Choice, said, “Thank you for the wonderful pro-life support of Right to Life of Michigan. Your grant helps us to keep our mobile unit mobile. Being mobile helps us go to the mothers in need and help them choose life for their babies.”

“These grants reflect our ongoing commitment to standing shoulder-to-shoulder with women facing unexpected pregnancies, to help offer hope and a path forward. In Michigan, abortion is legal through all nine months of pregnancy for any reason. But for choice to truly exist, women need the practical, tangible support that enables them to make a hopeful, courageous choice for life. Pregnancy resource centers, along with the dedicated medical professionals, counselors, and volunteers who carry out their life-affirming work, are making a profound difference, equipping women with the care and confidence they need to make a choice for life,” said Amber Roseboom, President, Right to Life of Michigan.

Each year, RLM offers grants to Pregnancy Resource Centers in and around the city of Detroit. Earlier this year, RLM expanded its support of pregnant women across the region by co-hosting, with The Reconciled Church, the second annual Motor City Baby Shower in Riverside Park. More than 150 women and families participated in the event, which offered much-needed items, such as car seats, baby swings, strollers, clothing and more.
