Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer, German theologian and victim of the Third Reich, once said, "Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act."

If you listen carefully to those who support abortion-on-demand, you will hear them say, "Shhhh! Just look the other way. Relax, we've got the situation under control."

What follows is a brutally honest discussion of where silence has led us as a nation. Please take a deep breath and brace yourself!

Gold Arrow Abortion on Trial

Kermit Gosnell owned and operated the Women's Medical Society in West Philadelphia. As a veteran in the abortion industry, Gosnell and his staff had been destroying unborn children virtually unabated for more than 30 years. Then . . .

arrow On February 18, 2010, the FBI, along with an assortment of local law enforcement agencies raided Gosnell's abortion business under the suspicion that he was a prescription drug dealer. Here's what authorities found when they arrived:

"There was blood on the floor. A stench of urine filled the air. A flea-infested cat was wandering through the facility and there were cat feces on the stairs. Semiconscious women scheduled for abortions were moaning in the waiting room or the recovery room, where they sat on dirty recliners covered with bloodstained blankets."

arrow The night of the raid, parts and pieces of unborn children were found throughout the clinic haphazardly stored in bags, milk jugs, orange juice cartons and even in empty cat food containers. Some aborted remains were found in a refrigerator right alongside employee lunches.

A fully intact baby boy estimated at 28 weeks gestational age was found frozen in a one-gallon water jug. In the rat infested basement investigators found jars containing just the severed feet of unborn children. They were lined up neatly in a row—like trophies on a shelf. All in all, investigators found the remains of an estimated 47 aborted babies, some dating back 30 years!

arrow Conditions were so barbaric that when law enforcement officials returned to collect additional evidence they came equipped with biohazard suits, including breathing apparatuses!

arrow Based on a 261-page Grand Jury indictment, complete with photographs and the testimony of 58 different witnesses, Gosnell, his wife and seven members of his staff were put under arrest.

arrow Gosnell has been convicted with one count of involuntary manslaughter in the death of a 41-year-old woman who died from a botched abortion, along with three charges of first degree murder in the deaths of viable children. Gosnell and his murderous crew also faced numerous additional criminal charges, including conspiracy, drug delivery resulting in death, infanticide, corruption of minors, evidence tampering, theft by deception, abuse of a corpse and corruption. Gosnell faces a lifetime prison sentence with the possibility of the death penalty.

arrow Kermit Gosnell specialized in late-term abortions. He had perfected the illegal practice of "live birth" abortion. When Gosnell found it too difficult to destroy a late-term child in the womb, he would simply force premature birth; then kill the baby.

arrow According to the Grand Jury report:

". . . he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy – and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cord with scissors."

Gosnell affectionately referred to this unspeakable atrocity as "snipping." According to eye witness testimony, "one premature infant wiggled around on the counter for 20 minutes before an untrained worker slit his neck—after first playing with him."

Another employee testified under oath that Gosnell routinely cracked jokes while he carried out his murderous spree. On one occasion, Gosnell reportedly chuckled about a child writhing in pain after being snipped saying, "That's what you call a chicken with its head cut off."

Only God knows what took place in this "house of horrors" on Sundays. The Lord's Day was reserved for "the really big ones." Only Gosnell and his wife Pearl were present. He would then take medical records home and either alter them or destroy them completely.

arrow Live testimony in court during Gosnell's trial made the Grand Jury report look tame by comparison.

arrow Steven Massof was Gosnell's right-hand man. Under oath Massof testified that he saw more than 100 babies born alive who had their necks snipped in what he called "literally a beheading." Another employee admitted that "these killings became so routine, that no one could put an exact number on them. They were considered 'standard procedure.'" Massof told the court that during busy times "it would rain fetuses, fetuses and blood all over the place."

arrow Another employee testified that frequently patients would give birth in Gosnell's absence. Testimony indicated that one or two babies "fell out" of patients each night. They dropped out on lounge chairs, on the floor and more often in the toilet.

arrow Neither Gosnell nor a single person on his staff was properly licensed! His murderous crew even included a 15-year-old high school student. There were also three former employees who testified under oath that they were experiencing serious mental health issues while on the job. These included bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, along with drug and alcohol abuse.

arrow The babies weren't the only ones to die at the hands of this butcher. At the time of his arrest, a total of 46 lawsuits had been filed against Gosnell by former patients. "Scores" of women have now come forward to complain of abuse and neglect, including allegations that Gosnell even forced women to abort their children against their will.

arrow Gosnell was richly rewarded for his efforts taking in "as much as $10,000 to $15,000" a day, in cash! In one year alone, he put 1.8 million dollars in his back pocket. These figures do not include his lucrative side business as a prescription drug dealer. While raking in millions, Gosnell paid his pathetic staff paltry sums under the table and treated his patients like human garbage!

arrow The Women's Medical Society nightmare began in 1979. During his 30-year reign of terror, Gosnell got a complete pass from the:

arrow Pennsylvania Department of Health
arrow Pennsylvania Department of State
arrow Philadelphia Department of Public Health
arrow Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
arrow Penn Presbyterian Medical Center
arrow National Abortion Federation and others

State officials, state attorneys, state inspectors, state bureaucrats, local health officials, local emergency room personnel, pro-abortion activists, the governor—all looked the other way. Even the janitor, who routinely removed dead children from a clogged toilet turned a blind eye.

The only reason Gosnell got caught in the first place is because of a drug tip! He got caught by accident. But here's the really scary part; Gosnell also performed abortions at a clinic in Delaware—also totally undetected!

With the Gosnell trial in full swing, there was a committee hearing, in the state Legislature, in Florida. A House committee was hearing testimony regarding the merits of a bill that would require immediate medical attention for babies born alive as the result of a botched abortion. The Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood sent their lobbyist to testify in opposition to the bill. Here is part of that conversation:

House Rep.: "So, um, it is just really hard for me to even ask you this question because I'm almost in disbelief. If a baby is born on a table as a result of a botched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child that is struggling for life?"

Planned Parenthood: "We believe that any decision that's made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician."

While Gosnell was on trial in Pennsylvania for murdering newborn babies, Planned Parenthood was in Florida defending his right to do so! Planned Parenthood made it perfectly clear that they not only support abortion-on-demand, but infanticide—the wanton destruction of a newborn child.

This is from an organization that receives nearly half its annual budget from you and me as taxpayers—542 million dollars according to their latest annual report!

gold arrow BLACKOUT!

Eyewitness testimony in the Gosnell trial indicates that he killed well over 100 newborn infants, forced to a premature birth and then brutally murdered. That would make Kermit Gosnell the greatest serial killer in the history of the United States of America.

While his trial was in full swing, for the whole world to see, Planned Parenthood endorsed this type of activity in official testimony before the state House in Florida.

Yet, for the first three weeks of the trial, there was almost a total media blackout! Here you have murder and mayhem on a scale never before seen in America, with one of the nation's most prestigious organizations providing its seal of approval, and the media can't even find one minute to cover the story!

It wasn't until concerned citizens everywhere took to social media that some of the major news outlets were "shamed" into covering the Gosnell trial.

The Gosnell trial is a clear indicator of where we're at today. Planned Parenthood's endorsement is an indication of where we're headed. Infanticide continues its slow movement towards respectability.

If you can kill a baby in the womb, why not right after birth? After all, it simply boils down to location. What difference could a few inches possibly make?
