Abortion data shows long-term decrease

Both national and Michigan statistics show an encouraging trend of decreasing abortions. In Michigan, there were 26,395 reported abortions in 2016, down 2.8 percent from 2015, and 46.2 percent overall from their high in 1987. Nationally there were an estimated 926,200 abortions in 2014, down 42.4 percent from their high in 1990.

What are Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton?

On January 22, 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down two life-changing decisions, Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton. Together these decisions by unelected justices drastically changed the abortion laws of all fifty states, blocking numerous laws protecting the lives of unborn children.

The Sound of Abortion is a popular YouTube video. Using only a microphone, metal BBs, and a tin can, prolife speaker Peter Heck puts the lives lost to abortion in America since 1973 into perspective. With his permission his audio has been used as a radio ad in Michigan called "War on te Unborn."
