Right to Life of Michigan’s annual high school oratory contest is open to all pro-life high school students in Michigan. Contestants will give a 5 to 7 minute speech on one of several pro-life topics. Contests are sponsored by Right to Life of Michigan affiliates across the state. Click here to find a local contest near you. Winners of the local affiliate contests will compete in the statewide contest on April 18, 2026 at Mt. Hope Church in Lansing. The winner of the state competition will win a trip to compete in National Right to Life’s contest on June 13, 2026 in Arlington, VA.

2026 Contest
Our 37th Annual High School Oratory Contest was held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Mt. Hope Church in Lansing, MI. We had 18 contestants who gave powerful pro-life speeches on abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia. Our first-place winner was Rafael Acosta from Plymouth Area Right to Life. Our second-place winner was Isabella Sparling from St. Clair County Right to Life. Our third-place winner was Kateri Schneider from Newaygo County Right to Life.
