Vida Preciosa Annual Benefit Dinner

Please join us on Friday, September 22, 2023 at St. Mary’s Cultural Center in Livonia, MI for the Vida Preciosa Annual Benefit Dinner. Vida Preciosa is a fundraising dinner/dance in support of Right to Life of Michigan’s prolife educational outreach to the Hispanic community. This year we are featuring keynote speaker Dr. Joanne Castillo Rivera, MD, Family Medicine Physician, NFP Medical Consultant. Dr. Joanne Castillo Rivera, MD
Family Medicine Physician, NFP Medical Consultant
Dr. Joanne Castillo Rivera is a wife, mother of 3, and a board-certified family medicine physician. Dr. Castillo was born, raised, and educated in the US territory, Puerto Rico. She attended undergraduate at the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras and graduated from Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico, her hometown, in 2010.
Dr. Castillo completed her Family Medicine Residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA, served at Cetronia Primary Care in Allentown, PA and then at Capital Internal Medicine Associates in Lansing, MI. In 2020, she discerned to stay at home to care for her children and began providing virtual medical care from her home. As a doctor, she is passionate about comprehensive wellness and partners with her patients to be “Happy, Holy, and Healthy.” Dr. Castillo will share details about the “Life of the Mother” exception as well as other medical information from the perspective of a prolife physician. The information will help us all to better defend with love all human lives.
La Dra. Joanne Castillo Rivera es una esposa, madre de 3 hijos, y un médico certificado en medicina familiar. La Dra. Castillo nació, creció y se educó en el territorio estadounidense de Puerto Rico. Cursó sus estudios universitarios en la Universidad de Puerto Rico en Río Piedras y se graduó en la Escuela de Medicina de Ponce, Puerto Rico, su ciudad natal, en 2010.
La Dra. Castillo completó su Residencia en Medicina Familiar en Lehigh Valley Health Network en Allentown, PA, sirvió en Cetronia Primary Care en Allentown, PA y luego en Capital Internal Medicine Associates en Lansing, MI. En 2020, Ella discernió quedarse en casa para cuidar a sus hijos y comenzó a brindar atención médica virtual desde su hogar. Como doctora, le apasiona el bienestar integral y se asocia con sus pacientes para ser “Felices, Santos y Saludables”. La Dra. Castillo compartirá detalles sobre la excepción “Vida de la Madre”, así como otra información médica desde la perspectiva de una médica provida. La información nos ayudará a todos a defender mejor con amor todas las vidas humanas.

Archdiocese of Detroit Director of Family and Family Involvement for Southwest Detroit Parishes
Antonio Guzmán-Díaz, was born and raised in Preciosita, Tlahuapan, Puebla, Mexico and immigrated to the United States at the age of 12. He lives in Detroit where his work, study and even his free time are devoted to evangelization. Antonio has participated in all stages of the process of the V Encuentro de Pastoral Hispana convened by the Office of Hispanic Affairs of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He currently is involved with the Journeying Together process convened by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Office of Diversity.
Antonio Guzmán- Díaz, nació y creció en la Preciosita Tlahuapan, Puebla, México y emigró a los Estados Unidos cuando tenía doce años. Él vive en Detroit donde trabaja, estudia e incluso dedica su tiempo libre a la evangelización. Antonio ha participado en todas las etapas del proceso del V Encuentro de Pastoral Hispana convocada por la oficina de Asuntos Hispanos de la Conferencia de Obispos Católicos de los Estados Unidos. Actualmente, está involucrado con el proceso de Caminando Juntos (Journeying Together) convocado por la oficina de la Diversidad de la Conferencia de Obispos Católicos de los Estados Unidos.
