Shar is a beloved wife, mother, and musician. In 2018, she also became an author because, she says, "I like writing too much and my story demanded to be told." It was the most therapeutic work she had done since becoming a parent to her severely mentally and physically disabled son, Ben. Her book is poignant and transparent, revealing the intense God-wrestling that anyone who's serious about their faith understands; and Ben's four siblings all laying bare their own experiences for this family tribute is pure gold.
