Dr. Marty McCaffrey
Dr. Marty McCaffrey is a Professor of Pediatrics at UNC Chapel Hill in the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. He is a retired Captain in the US Navy. Dr. McCaffrey has established himself as an expert in the medical literature and in policy through his work on the association of abortion with preterm birth and his commitment to families seeking support for pregnancies with a child with a challenging prenatal diagnosis. He has offered medical counsel to hundreds of families internationally over the last two decades as they seek alternatives to abortion. Marty and his amazing wife Theresa are blessed with three children, Connor, Brenna and Shea. Shea is 23, has Down syndrome and has led Marty on his professional journey.
