Kaye Lani Rae Rafko-Wilson

Kaye Lani Rae Rafko-Wilson is a registered nurse who utilizes her visibility as a former Miss America (1988) to focus attention on the profession of nursing, Hospice Programs, and critical health care issues. She serves as the executive director of Gabby’s Grief Center in Michigan, a bereavement program she helped to create in 2001 for people of all ages.

Kaye Lani received her diploma in 1985 from St. Vincent Medical Center School of Nursing in Ohio. She and her husband, Charles, have three living children, Nicholas, Alana and Joseph. Their fourth child, Gabriel, died shortly after birth in 2002. They look forward to the birth of their second grandchild this June!
