Third Place: Abigail Ries from St. Clair County Right to Life.
We’ve also included a close Fourth Place this year: Adelline Oliveira from Tri-County (Mason, Oceana, Manistee) Right to Life.
The winning students researched, wrote and delivered speeches on a variety of topics, including infanticide, the normalization of abortion and the evils of passive euthanasia. Prizes for each place are as follows: First Place – $500 and an invitation to deliver the winning speech at Right to Life of Michigan’s State Conference on September 26; Second Place – $300; and Third Place – $200.
Congratulations to all 18 students who competed in Right to Life of Michigan’s 35th Annual State Oratory Contest. Each speech was extraordinary in its own way.
