Michigan's 2007 Abortion Statistics

The number of abortions performed in Michigan decreased in 2007 compared to 2006. The report from the Michigan Department of Community Health states that 24,683 abortions were performed in Michigan during 2007 compared to 25,636 in 2006, a decrease of 3.7 percent. This the lowest number of annual abortions ever recorded in Michigan and represents a dramatic 49.7 percent decrease since 1987. For more information, click here.
