Right to Life of Michigan youth programs

High School Oratory Contest

Right to Life of Michigan Educational Fund's annual high school oratory contest is open to all prolife high school students in Michigan. Contestants give a 5-7 minute speech on one of several prolife topics. Local contests are sponsored by affiliates across the state in the spring, followed by a state contest for local winners. MORE

Outstanding Prolife Youth Award

Right to Life of Michigan Educational Fund will award a scholarship in May to one outstanding prolife high school senior in Michigan. Selection criteria include an essay and past participation in prolife activities. MORE


Other prolife student programs, contests and scholarships

National Right to Life Academy 2014

Different from a traditional prolife internship, the Academy is an intensive college-level summer course held at the National Right to Life office in Washington D.C. for five weeks. The curriculum is comprehensive and designed to train prolife college student leaders for prolife work on their campus and beyond in their careers. Tuition and lodging for the Academy costs $3600, applications are due by March 15, 2014. MORE

National Right to Life Video Contest

National Right to Life hosts an annual video contest for amateur filmmakers ages 15 through 25. Submissions must be 30 seconds to three minutes long and address the theme "why laws need to protect innocent human life." Entries are due by April 1, 2014 and the winner will receive two free tickets to the 2014 National Right to Life Convention, where the video will be shown. MORE

University Faculty for Life Scholarly Achievement Award

University Faculty for Life every year gives a Scholarly Achievement Award to students in three categories: creative writing, literary criticism, and research. Submissions must demonstrate the application of a life-affirming perspective on abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, or related issue. Winners in each category will receive $200. Submissions are due by May 24, 2014. MORE
